A not-so grand exit?

Contributed by reprobate on Sunday, 25th April 2004 @ 06:29:37 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Four walls make a house
and four walls make a grave
Without love there is no difference
after all, who remembers Durer's shavings

This life is just an expression
where your deeds are the words
And your reactions are the descriptives
all just passages written sand

Immured as I have become
my idle thoughts worry my brow
What was it that I neglected to learn or forget
that brought me to this precipice

I gave with childish disregard
and like a child with 'glass-tomented' ants
Your actions made mine more than insignificant
trading the all of my life so vicariously

Shavings or sand, the impermanence is felt
when life's vigor is drained without mortician's guide
Where love has been selfishly transposed, even disposed
here I teeter within four walls

A masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't commend this one high enough.

"I gave with childish disregard
and like a child with 'glass-tomented' ants
Your actions made mine more than insignificant
trading the all of my life so vicariously"

My favorite stanza.

Kie

This was good, and yes life can be so vicious. Frankly, I am getting tired of it. I feel these emotions were too close to home for me, very painful to read.
Peace and hugs,
Laura
