meet me in my heart

Topic: MiscPoems

meet me in my heart
where we will find a place
to start a fire and let it blaze
this meeting is to destroy
any memory left of you
and while i can burn the memories
i cannot rid myself of the feelings

i've asked you here to see if you would like
to end yourself with my memories tonight

this is the only truth i can seem to embrace
on the tip of my tongue, hate, is all i can taste
by morning there will be only ashes
and i will bury those so far down inside
so far down inside of me
that they won't even be the memory
of a memory.

What a shame that love turns to hate. A good poem well expressed. I think that even a hate so deeply buried will occasionaly raise it's head from the depths.

Wow, Fallen. That was a wonderful write. Sad but so emotional. Deep. I could really relate.
