Migraine
A crescendo of metallic white hot noise
Tinny vibrations web across my brain
Treadles of discomfort make every nerve ending scream in agony
Even my own pulse beat is deafening
Electric spiders underneath my skin crawling
Teeth feel like ice and burn my gums
Air compressors explode and implode in delicate hallow care canals
Send me into paroxysms of seething seeping ruin
Anxiety tickles my every fiber
I am hinging on the edge of losing myself in a cavern of anguish
Darkness threatens to devour me in it’s jaws
This is a migraine
Into the 10 circle of hell I drown
Until…
Slowly fraction by fraction, blessed relief rises over me like a tidal wave of calm
For now the torture has been quelled
May this beast be forever subdued
For it eats away at my soul.
