Alone again
Just the way you left me
Just how you always wanted me
Silence again
Chewing me up and spitting me out
Who can it be?
Calling your name
When you ignore my existence
Nibbling on my broken dreams
Who could it be?
No matter how hard I try
I will never drown their laughter
Their hopes I’ll always capture
And keep them to call my own
Who can it be?
Stealing you in pieces
Until the last one falls into place
Unto me
Ripping through the peeling glass
Who could it be?
Braided together again
Unraveled again
Who could it be?
Calling your name
When you ignore my existence
Nibbling on my broken dreams
Who could it be?
It was me
