When I look into the future,
I wonder whats there for me,
Will I still be the same person,
Or the person only others say they see.
Words I feel are lies,
Thats not a description of me,
Why am I seeing something different,
Will I ever look into the mirror to find what they see in me.
Will I die trying,
Or will I keep trudging on,
Riding this round about,
That Ive been on for so long.
That all lies in the future,
Untouchable right now,
So until then I'll keep striving on,
Till I find the true me.

I think u fail to give yerself enough credit which sadly many poets suffer from. I thought this was great straight-forward, honest, and hard-hitting one couldn't ask for more... keep it up.

| Wow. I sense that a straight line from the author's head to keyboard.....The author created a wonderful poem expressing raw emotion of personal struggle--without that filtering of emotion most of us do. This poem just feels so very powerful. Excellent write. |
