When dogs fear the night

Now here's a story I don't often tell
The night my big bad dog got scared as hell

During the day my dog is the law
You just don't come into my yard at all

But when it gets dark he'll stay in his house
He won't even come out for me or the spouse

It just turned real dark and the critters were out
My dog suddenly sprung up when it jumped on his snout

Unknown to me as I snored like a log
My dog would be threatened by the feel of a frog

He ran out of his house and it all started there
Because he got tangled in line and that caught on a chair

When my dog looked around at that chair with 4 castors
It looked spooky as hell and he ran even faster

That chair flipped and banged and made such a clatter
I ran to the blinds to see what was the matter

When I got out the back door he ran by with ears down
Then here came that chair knocking me to the ground

My dog come round again and man was he truckin
I would have been knocked back down if not for my duckin

The chair flew by my head and hit the shed with a crash
The nitemare was over but the yard had been trashed

My dog dove in his house and finally stopped shakin
I went back to bed with my whole body achin

The very next day I installed a bright light
My dog once again rules the yard, even at night

LMAO, just goes to prove that no matter how big and brave we are, we are all scared of something at times. (still laughing)
