Raindrops on my eyelashes
Tear stains on my cheeks
Puddles on my scuffed-up shoes
As I skulk along the streets
Riddles on my windswept hair
Anger on my hands
Whipping through my pulsing veins
As I scrap another plan
My clothes are steeped in weather
My skin is steeped in pain
Trying to change my frame of mind
To go against its grain.
The clouded townscape surrounding me
Is draped in bleakest lethargy
It's times like this I stop and see
How much I want what just can't be.

You weave your thoughts and words well. This was an enjoyable read. Excellent work.

So true, your not alone in that thought. The things that we want the most are the things that will always ilude us.

Full of vivacious vigour and expressive aggression.
I like your style. It makes me want to clap, but I won't. I'll save my applause for other (more impressive) nuggets you've surely got stashed around here . . .
5 stars. |
