once on fire

Contributed by fallensilence on Saturday, 24th April 2004 @ 05:18:53 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

this catastrophe has left me shaking
with no desire to fall anymore
don't say that you're leaving
please tell me i'm still that person you adore
cause what is love without you
what is living if this were through
let's stay right here for a moment longer
theres no need to go a step farther

let's stand on the edge of this
with the knowledge that it could fall to pieces
but embracing the excitement of itall

you're beautiful and if you ever were to slip
i'd take the plunge to try and save you
well i would die to save you
and i hope your thoughts have told you that you would save me too
even if the drop led to the end of everything
i would embrace you for every second
until we hit the ground
and when we sleep my only dreams will be of
you
just know that i would die to stay with you

i cherish the moment that led me to you
as much as the ones we have gone through
we can live through this
will you die with your hand in mine?
in the darkness your soul will still shine
and it is your light that has allowed to be warm again
and if you see ever see me shaking
you'll burn a little stronger
and pull in a little closer

and instead of falling lets ascend into the sky
and crash into the clouds togethor
lets live on for the better
i know i dreamt of you when i was a dying star
and the distance to you almost seemed to far
but i have you now....
and love binds us together
all my doubts are pointless
cause you love me
