All i want is to be me!

Contributed by lil_angel on Saturday, 24th April 2004 @ 03:33:06 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

When I get up in the morning
What mask to wear?
Is the question
So many moods but none of them are me
To be happy when you are crying in the inside
is nothing new to me
All I want to do is be me
But it hurts too much
So many mockers
So many people depending on me

Be happy be laughful, don’t be sad
These are the things I hear everyday
To be someone or something you are not really hurts
It takes practice, something that I have a lot of
All I want is someone that accepts me for who and what I am
And a shoulder to cry on
Instead no one lets me be me
PLEASE
Someone care
Who will accept me for me?

How true! I wonder how many other people in this world are wearing masks? If only others did not have such high expectations of us? Be yourself, because the sooner you find out who you are, the sooner you can heal from the pain you are feeling. Honest and open. Good work.
