I Come Here Today

Contributed by StephWebb04 on Saturday, 24th April 2004 @ 10:13:17 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

I come here today, to live life for tomorrow.
I come here today, to give away my pain and sorrow.
I come here today, to show the world what I can do.
I come here today, to show everyone, specifically you.

I come here today, to lift His name up on high.
I come here today, to cry up to the sky.
I come here today, to ask what is to be done.
I come here today, to preach the World about His only Son.

I come here today, to enjoy another breath.
I come here today, to live until my death.
I come here today, to show His love to all.
I come here today, to show that yes, I sometimes fall.

I come here today, though the world will never know.
I come here today, knowing that it doesn't show.
I come here today, to ask forgiveness from my God.
I come here today, revealing I'm a fraud.

I come here today, to say I'm sorry for what all I've done.
I come here today, no longer being an orphan.
I come here today, to live my life for Him.
I come here today, with my light no longer dim.

I come here to write
I see His spirit in you
And every word you wrote
Is powerful and true...Russ
