Sweet lifeblood of the land
Prosper all of might and bland
Send unto untimely death
Ode to you, lest forget
Shimmering rays adorn the dawn
Bright new future, drawn for all
Dark depression chased away
Cheery thoughts, clouded mind
See not what’s there,
Just what’s left behind
Truth reviled, vanity concealed
Love suppressed, the sun to bless
True at heart and minds of men
Blessed light, hide the dark
The shadows deep, the night unchanging
What’s true to us, darkness bright
Let sun come back for us to hide.
