Shattered And Tattered All While Being Left Behind

Contributed by Mortis-Dark on Friday, 23rd April 2004 @ 11:31:26 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Linger I shall from this noose.
Till my corpse decays into dust.
Never had a second choice or a second thought.
This is how I was meant to die.

The american way you say.
Beauty has faded to lust to much of our disgust.
Holding back tears.
Tears the essence of pain.
Its way for it to escape into the air.

Let me cry on your shoulder for awile.
I need you here for few.
I would breathe every breath with you.
No need for concern.

Eyes of a tragedy.
Cast out and neglacted.
Wishing for you to come through.
My doors to my hall.
Reality is hell.
Hell is splendid.
But nothing without you.

O well.
Lost it is.
Forever now.
Apparantly nothing stays the same.
Apparantly nothing at all.

Sadly all things change, whether for good or bad. It does sometimes feel like life is ripping and tearing us to pieces. I have felt that way just as of late. But life does go on with or without us and I plan to enjoy my time on this planet. Hope you plan on that too.

Hugs,
Rita

The title to this poem got me interested cause I too am shattered and tattered and I too was left behind many many times even by my own self. Damn how good things change, but without it life could get boring, although it probably already is and then bad things won't go away, if they ever do in time, anyway I don't know what I am getting at except I liked your poem.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
