Awaiting Closure

Contributed by Mortis-Dark on Friday, 23rd April 2004 @ 10:56:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

My angel faded long ago.
8 months togther 6 months apart.
Today I opened my old wounds.
In the end I hurt myself more than you could have ever had.

I wish I were with you.
Under a tree.
Amongst the sea.
Anywhere with you I would.

But to think you dont care.
Catches me breathlessly into a blank stare.
Have I put this upon myself.
Only to regain my shattered past.

I seek closure.
Never to find it soon.
In a game of hiding seek it seems.
Always hiding from me it is.
I wish closure would come.
And come soon it shall.

Might just be because I'm emotional today, but I just cried my eyes out after reading that... that is so sad. I know the feeling to well. Im so sorry you still need a little closure, I hope you find it. Awesome write Mortis...

Sometimes closure is not good. That is because it takes away your reason for still having hope. When that door is finally shut there is not hope left. You think you are sad and empty now, just totally watch that door close and you will know empty. Hope things get better for you.

Closure is one of the hardest things to get. It's up there with trying to get rid of the pain. When you think that you may have closure it may not really be closure for you, something will trigger it off. I've been going for 3 years on trying to get closure and so many times I've let it slip through my hands, making myself suffer. Sometimes you think you want closure but really you dont and it hurts you more than enaything to go after it. Loved the poem by the way - "In the end I hurt my self more than you could have ever had." - You can say that again. Been in that situation way too many times. Get yourself outta it as soon as you can. Do it for yourself.
