Drowning

Contributed by sarah_may on Friday, 23rd April 2004 @ 08:01:25 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Drowning

Drowning in a pool of Despair,
Reaching for something that’s no longer there.
Slipping silently under the surface,
Realizing suddenly, nothing is worth this.

Drowning in a pool of Agony,
No one can help unless they can see.
This is the end of the rope,
Useless. Pointless. There is no more hope.

Drowning in a pool of Misery,
No one can hear, despite the plea.
Help, help, is the cry,
Life is over; time to die.

Drowning in a pool of Suffering,
The light above is disappearing.
All feeling is no more,
It’s time to go where angels soar.

Drowning in a pool of Despair,
Reaching for something that’s no longer there.
Slipping silently under the surface,
Realizing suddenly, nothing is worth this.

This is awsome... really powerful... and touching. I am only 13, and I can't imagine what it must be like. I pray all goes well in your surgery... you have a wonderful talent. I hope this poem was only a way to relieve anxiety... You got the point across beautifully!
