Family camping

I'm glad today is Monday, but I still fell like a dip
I talked the wife and kids, into a weekend camping trip

We hadn't even arrived yet when, the wife had my belly tossed
She yelled at me for hours because, that's how long we all were lost

We finally started camping, and things were going good
But then I got poison ivy, getting logs for firewood

So I came back a scratching, I built a fire and had a seat
Then the wife again was yelling, because I forgot to pack the meat

I was digging, she was fuming, is there no end to my pain
Then I got my answer, when I started feeling rain

When we got inside the tent, my dog added to my blunder
I left him in the rain and, he's scared to death of thunder

A crack was heard and hear he come, running like the wind
He ripped the tent and hit the pole, you should of seen it bend

I knew the trip was over when I, saw my wife just standing there
Boy she sure looks mean with, smeared mascara and wet hair

For a third time she was yelling; She said "Now you've gone too far"
"So grab that mutt and both the kids, cause I'm going to the car"

Now were home and things are calm, their all sleeping like a log
I just wish that I could sleep, but I got stuck out with the dog

Hilarious. I am not an outdoors camper, more of a Holiday Inn camper, but if I were this one trip would put me of it for good I think. Poor dog!
