you tell me that you have problems
you tell me that you want out
but what am i supposed to do
when about myself, i feel doubt
i hate to see you like this
i hate to see you hurt
i wish that i could just fix things
and maybe for you, lift a little dirt
i want to help you through this
but its hard for me to do
i just want to let you know
that whatever happens, I am here for you
that doesnt mean just at school
or in the afternoon
i will alway be here night or day
waiting for your tune
so pick up the phone and give me a call
no matter what the time
i will always try and answer
it only costs a dime
i know we've had our quarels
but i am always here
just because we're mad doesn't mean
that to me, i don't hold you dear

I like this -- it expresses the state of mind perfectly ---
I'm not sure that the state of mind is particuliarly helpful -- but if that's where you are that's where you are --
