Deep in the woods

Deep in the woods,
Wonders I see.
Beauty surrounds me.
In a place where fairies stood,
An ethereal feeling descends.
A silence fills the air,
A silence, which no noise contends.
A crystalline note drifts faint and fair.
From the woods come Legend’s beasts,
Nymphs, elves, sprites, and fairies appear.
And in a clearing sets a feast,
They dance, and eat, and drink without a fear.
Suddenly I find myself weary,
Weary with a tiredness of the bones.
My become bleary,
My head I lay upon a mossy stone,
And I dream a dream of sadness sweet.
