i still don't know why it's okay to do this
listening to the subhumans
and pressing the knife into the soft skin
of my shoulder
it hurts so bad to rip skin from shoulder
scabs from wounds
but i take joy in it
i'm just screwed up like that
it's been three and a half years
for heaven's sake
after a year and a half of therapy
i've developed the comforting technique of
lying on the outside smiling to my friends
and slicing in the bedroom
with my brother's knife
everyone thinks i'm alright now
since i put on a brave front and
rarely let tears drip from my eyes
there's a sick satisfaction in seeing
the knifepoint
partly tinged red with my blood
MY BLOOD
i become sickened
what the hell was i thinking?
leah told me..."don't cut and i won't"
and if leah ever hurt herself because of me
i'd never forgive myself
and my shoulder is aching
and my head is throbbing
so i close up the knife and
put it behind my tapes
extreme noise terror, no doubt, iron lung,
and killing joke...
oh, how i wish this was a joke
how close i come to killing myself
with a little determination
and this knifepoint

This maleficent deed is one that many enjoy... don't feel outside because those close to you don't understand. Sometimes feeling pain is the only thing that lets you know you are still alive. i liked this poem alot... 5 stars... |

This is sad I spose since I hate reading about others pain it tears me apart inside and also because I can relate and understand how u feel sooooooo much. This was a great poem sometimes the most sad, heartfelt poems are the best. They can be healing as well. Keep 'em coming!
