I linger for dusk to appear,
To see the creatures of the night,
Behind the shadows, they all wait…
Slowly watching their prey in delight.
I await the arrival of the cold wind,
The wind that scrapes at my dead soul
Pulling me deeper into an ocean of deceit,
Helping the numbness grow deep beneath.
I gleam with pleasure as dark conquers light,
As good fights evil with all its might
The battle, which will forever go on,
Just like the existence of dusk after dawn.
I hunger for the love that I’ve never seen,
That which celebrates the absence of none in between,
The love that lurks in the darkness of each mind,
The same love that I’ll never find.
I console myself by shedding a tear,
That which wombs hatred, anger & immortal fear
It gives birth to a decaying, dark soul,
Nursing pain that is beyond control.

Rather dark, but I liked it. You keep the rhyming really well. All in all I thought it was good.
Take care.
