A Distance Only Love Could Reach

Contributed by strange_lindsey on Wednesday, 21st April 2004 @ 03:40:13 AM in AEST
Topic: InternetLove

Thousands upon thousands of miles away
She sits in her familiar place
Positioned directly in the same spot
That she drifts to day after day.

The other side of the world
He’s stationed at his lovers paradise
Planted and gazing; his heart in his throat
Staring through darkness at the monitor.

The only noise either one hears-
As they tap, tap, tap away
Is the distinctive pounding of each others hearts
Vividly displayed through words on the screen.

Through tears of joy and happiness
All times good and bad
They share their secrets longingly
And pray every night for one day.

In hours of selfishness and insecurities
As doubts drown them in their sleep
Reassurance is always handed
By the lover on the other side of the computer screen.

Love is enormous throughout each body
But life keeps getting in the way
The length in miles and kilometers
Is a distance only love could reach.

You have captured the meaning of love, not to be face to face.....but soul to soul........very beautiful.

You make nights the best part of the day, thank you so very much for sharing.

This is beautiful, just beautiful. Love and faith can overcome some strong tribulations indeed. This really instills a lot of hope for anyone who is parted by distance. Again, it's gorgeous.

Truly,
-V.S.
