ONCE UPON A COSMIC RHYME

Once upon a cosmic rhyme.
When mystic poets crafted magic odes.
When mystic poets were instruments of time,
and muses memories,
that through them flowed.
When first, imagry did take on shape.
Words meaning broke from words cocoon.
To fly about in winged escape.
With aid of light of sun and moon.
The butterflies of words chryssillis.
That creature new, a different thing.
Thoughts total transmutated synthesis.
Minds conjured creature at its freeing.
Our feelings chained so long now free.
By words description of something felt.
Emotions, given liberty.
First stood, then flew, from where they knelt.
Yes, once there was a time.
That gave birth to cosmic rhyme.
By way of muses gift. Of words to spirit lift.
Upon a simple poet this as bestowed.
So words can fly above, winged by love.
All obstacles below on wordway road.
