No Clue How To Write A Poem

my mind empty,
no clue i can see,
to write a poem perfectly,
gifted i am not,
but when put on the spot,
my first poem came out,
it was good but i doubt,
that it was worthy,
i thought it was too early,
my first peom that was.
This poem i posted,
did recieve little roasting,
surprised am i then,
i begin to write with my pen,
my feelings come out,
my fears all are here,
yet one thing is still unclear,
the genius needed,
to make these things completed,
i did not think i had.
Yet here i stand,
with my pen in my hand,
writing these peoms,
as if i know them,
perfectly.

Well I certainly could relate to this. I've been writing for the majority of my life but I only started actually writing poetry just a few months ago. So I question if anything I write is poetic. But then I make myself believe in me and do my best to improve by reading others poetry.
Oh and YES you do know how to write a poem cause you just did.
Enjoyed this one alot.
