ESCAPE

Topic: oops

All around me people talking aloud…
Have I lost myself amongst the crowd?
All noise but no meaningful sound…
Only madness all around…

There’s prejudice, hate and mistrust
It’s hard to survive if you want to be just…
The world seems immune to reason,
Intolerance is the flavour of the season.

I hear things I despise,
I see what I don’t want to…
It’s always some compromise-
And my individuality is sacrificed.

I’m tired of this killing spree,
My spirit craves to be free…
I long to escape to an undreamt shore…
Into the land of never before.

Wow very good. I loved the last stanza. Well done my friend.
