Do you really want to be a part of some trend?
Some else’s lame creation
That Caught fire and swept the nation
But left no one ‘Unique’ in the wake?
Some replica of a punk rocker
Wear a fake mask like Avryl Lavigne
Pretend like it’s your imagination
That thought up the style of torn jeans.
Wear some spikes and a dog collar
Cause it really makes you look cool
Try and be different from the masses
The one that stands out at school.
If you stop and glance around
You’ll see you’re not the only one
It’s normal to want to be different
Even if different is like everyone else.

| Enjoyable poem. I get this aspect, as at school, I knew I was different inside, so didn't feel the need to show it 'outside', as it were. But that was in the eighties - everyone dressed stupid then . . . *rolls eyes* |

I liked this when i was younger i thought i was so different with my dress sense as neptunes_first said that was the eighties!
I suppose it's our way of trying to make our mark we all want to be accepted as individuals...

| honestly this is dribble, nothing above ordinary, i lost intrest i'll blame it on the flow of each stanza, i've read this message a million times. Mindless banter just like every other person who has picked up a pen, but hey you're still better than kristen. |
