I wrote him a letter
Sent it to the prison today
I asked him such questions
Said things I needed to say.
I asked him why
What did I do?
You screwed up and had me
I was born because of you.
I didn’t ask for life
I didn’t ask for this
It was your decision
And now you're censored.
I ruined your chances
You were only seventeen
It was your choices
And you became very mean.
You drank everyday
You drank every night
You got very violent
and wanted to fight.
I was so little
I couldn’t fight back
I guess its so much better
Then someone beating your ass!
But I got older
I learned how to fight
I kicked and I screamed
You know this is right.
And the last beating
I ever endured
Was with the baseball bat
Unconscious on the floor.
Mom always sat quietly in the other room
But something clicked this last time
And she got up the nerve-
She knew what to do.
And that night I went to the ER
and you went to jail
When they asked you what happened
Only lies you could tell.
I wont go on
These were all your mistakes
I have only one thing left
That I wanted to say.
I love you now
I'll love you forever
You weren’t the best Father
But I have nothing better.
I'm longing to hear
What you have to say
I want to forgive you
Write me back, okay?

So sad, really touching write lizzy, full of emotion and heart, i love the lines

That touched me deep inside

This is incredibly sad, and overflowing with powerful emotion. It's hard to fathom a child merely twelve years old being coerced into enduring such atrocities. This is a very special poem indeed..and could bring a tear to the eye of the most hardened soul.
