Feelings Up and Down…

Contributed by Rose on Saturday, 28th September 2002 @ 10:50:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I’m not sure what it is I’m to feel
Really, this is kind of strange
The way it gets when you need to heal
The kinds of things that is hard to do, seemly out of range
This is like being outside of yourself
Wondering when this will be over
In time, a ruse of items in wealth
Perhaps even the luck of thy mighty clover!
This time of year, is very tough
Not easy to cope, but the colder season is harsh
I’m just speaking of some feelings in the rough
Depression does appear, but hoping it will sink, like a weedy marsh
This time alone, still, alone, I need to evaluate how to ensure
The health of my mind, body, spirit soul from within
Keep me sane, true, and use some humor to help me mature
All of me, so I can make it, keeping faith, and win
Thru this time of cold, praying all this way for HIS bright light
To guide me, as HE has always done, those past lessons learned
Existences of life as I’m living it now, His hands hold my plight
Every now and then, we do things wrong, teachings to burn
Persuing my life path, still, I’m still here, made it again
So Thankful for all I do have, so little it may be, but greatful indeed
Another winter to endure, it will not be easy, but it will bend
If I let it, pray, have faith, and love, work hard for that need
To stay alive, and make it, with all of my being
I ask this Lord; get me thru this winter time
Those others who share this too, their pains seeing
All of it too, so we can see those budding new spring flowers chime

Yes it's gonna be horribly cold again Amber, but just keep praying for the warmer days of spring to hurry up and get here!

Lovely writing again, with many vivid images swaying from good to bad and back. I like!

With love
Dean;-)

I'm over trying to catch up some.
I know eaxctly what u mean. My Winter's here in Arkansas aren't that bad but the last big ice storm we had here really got our attention in a big way. I told God if it's all the same to him I never wonna see an ice storm like that again. Course it's not likely 'cause the last one like that here was in the 18 hundreds.
This is an awesome write, girlfriend.
luv, huggs, smiles, mild winters,
emy
