HELLO BABY SISTER!

She’s no menace to society,
That’s what I thought
When they brought
Her home to me.

A sweeter little bundle,
Or prettier little girl,
Nor more darling angel,
Ever entered this ole world.

Though I was only seven,
When first she cried so loud.
As her oldest brother,
I was extremely proud.

Though years are very fleeting,
And days are even more swift,
I still think of you my sister,
As my childhoods’ favorite gift!
