Welcome Irony

Opalesence exchanged for a fine whalebone needle,
to mend the holes of lies still unknown.
Leftover amber wasn't enough for a thimble,
each stitch grinding in closer to bone.
Embers equal tiny points reflected in dark eyes,
and nipping the end of the vastness.
Solemnly sewing rips and tears with stitches and ties,
to be burnt to meaningless ashes.

very interesting, i like this, very well written, and though i would have like to see the stanza you left out, i will take you at your word that it was bad, although it may not have been, you never know. |
