HEADLIGHTS

Contributed by Robert_Edgar_Burns on Saturday, 28th September 2002 @ 10:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Surrounded by the two men,
With shotguns to my head.
Something in their actions
Told me that I'd soon be dead.

The register I opened,
Then felt a crack against my skull.
My knees buckled to the floor.
My senses became dull.

The Lord then heard my silent cries,
To forgive me of my sins.
And of my soon arrival,
To kindly let me in.

Nothing gets your attention
Than when told to lock and load.
And as the rounds were chambered,
I knew I was going Home!

Headlights through front windows,
Scared the thugs away.
Six murders they were tried for,
Only I'm alive today.

I do like these kinds of stories Robert,

Escapism into a world of the more interesting/exciting lifestyle! Could make a whole around this! I can just see Samuel L. Jackson and DeNiro now...

I do hope it's just a story that's well written in poetic form?

With love
Dean:-)
