When its so blatantly obvious
How much of your life you've lost
Because all you could manage to do
Once you woke up that morning
Was lay in bed and cry-
You start to believe how much you really don’t need to stick around.
When words become your best friends
And people never surround you with kind words-
All the attention you find is through the screen
Of a beaten up old computer from
People whose faces you've never seen
Life doesn’t seem so worthwhile.
When you call out for someone, anyone
At night and all you get in reply is silence
Maybe that’s the point where,
You body, your mind, your soul
All decided that this isn’t how it was supposed to be
That is when you lose hope
And that is when sane people-
Take their life.

in a part of everyones lives i think they feel much this way.. i know i have.. but think about it.. if your eistance was gone.. how great would that be?.. not that great at all... for there are ones that love and care.. just keep that in mind..

| Very well written. Though i may not agree with the content, i can admit that the writting is beautiful. Just consider the consequences of taking your life next time u contemplate those thoughts. It may not seem like it at times but there are always people that love you and care, and you wouldnt want to cause them the pain you're feeling yourself. Not to mention god, he created u as a beautiful work of art, much like you wrote this beautiful poem, and it would be a shame to waste that. God Bless. |

interesting viewpoint, i remember feeling like this at times... sometimes i found it kinda nice to stick around here, even if just through a beaten up old computer... ;0)

| Great poem. I especially liked the last two lines. I'm going through a difficult time right now, and thos last two lines helped me see things in a different light. Maybe I'm not crazy... Maybe I'm too sane for my own good! Maybe i'll write a poem about that... I hope these feelings lessen or go away. Keep up the good work! |

Words give a face to those, and bonds are as tight as if people lived nextdoor. Look not just in a screen of an old computer, look closer and see........the eyes of a friend looking back.
