I KNEW!

You never would quite tell me,
Where we were headed to.
You wanted me to trust you.
But inside somehow I knew.

I felt it was a miracle,
When you said you loved me too.
I tried to think my dreams came true.
But in reality I always knew.

I spent my days just loving you.
My nights spent that way too.
I wanted to believe I’d have,
What I can’t, I always knew.

I thought that I had been blessed
With the gift that was your love.
So now I’m broken and feeling blue.
But you know, I always knew.

So why did you not tell me,
Before I got this way?
We won’t grow old together now.
But inside somehow I knew!

This poem is very good, it made me feel sad.
Well written. I love it.
