Grief

my sadness reaches a plateau i never knew existed
i walk down the street looking at everything and nothing
i see the beauty most take for granted and i cry
i no longer have the ability to control my emotions
why do i cry maybe i cry at the loss of myself
i see so much more than i use to i want to know more
my mind goes from one to another analyzing as i go
i want to know so much and cram it all in
i cant see enough anymore and i cry at the beauty
why do i cry maybe i cry at the loss of myself
life is short when you hear alzsheimers it becomes shorter
you want to learn about alzheimers but your kinda frightened
you watch loved ones turn away from you and it hurts so
your friends stop coming by and calling you ask yourself why
why do i cry maybe i cry at the loss of myself
i wish time could be reversed but i know it isnt so
i wish a cure would be found again i know it isnt so
but mostly i wish poeple understood i know it isnt so
so i guess its up to me to try and set the record straight
why do i cry maybe i cry at the loss of myself

wow, this is a strong, powerfull write.
I know it has to be so sad to watch your mom leave a little peace at a time...You have my warm thoughts to comfort your heart and prayers as well, my friend.
God bless u for writing your day by day accounts of the effects of the illness to the family members who hurt the most.
Your friends and all should be ashamed of themself for their actions as I would think a friend would be there in these dark hours when u need them and their help now worse than any other time. I've found from caring for both my parents on their death beds that people shut theirselves off from illness when someone is dieing because they are in denial.
I know how much luv u have for your mom and u will not have any regrets when she's gone 'cause u r there 2 the end.
Hang tuff, my friend and God give u his strength that passeth all Earthly understanding.
luv, huggs,
emy |
