Heartache, grief and pain.
Why must we suffer?
Is life all in vain?

Lonliness, rejection, despair.
Who else could shoulder
The burdens we bear?

Recovery, slow, incomplete.
Oh how we struggle
To get back on our feet!

Victory, happiness, cheer!
It’s within reach and
Seems now much more clear.

Forward, straight ahead go!
The past is behind us.
The future brings hope!

Together, now lets decide,
The future looks brighter,
When we walk side by side.
