Tell it to the judge,
tell it to the jury,
confess to your lawyer in all your fury,
I stand here accused of a crime not commited,
your job my brief is to get me aquited,
I stand in the box nervous and pale,
spinning the jury an unlikely tale,
I look at their faces so easy to read them,
on what could be my last day of freedom,
a life of crime since the age of ten,
born to it from my enequity den,
some are born with a father,
some with a mother,
I was born with barely one or the other,
tossed around orphanages from an early age,
the fuel in my engine that created my rage,
so do your job and throw away the key,
for this could be a happier place for me.

| i really enjoyed this poem, it was sad though, and it made me think that although some people are born into a certain life it is up to them whether they stay that way of not!!! |

| Your poem was very good and a hint of deepness to it. But people can change the life they were born into. You have to want to change your life. Your the only one who could change it. Nicely written though. |
