Soothing the beast

Contributed by Matsukaze on Friday, 16th April 2004 @ 08:15:23 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

As it is, I travel on
My pain is deep, but I'm mentally strong

I struggle to understand
Why I have been dealt, the bottom hand

What I look for, what I want
Is so simple, so simple
And yet, so tough to find
What's the problem, was I born blind?

My anger rages, on and on
My hate grows, grows so very strong
I end up hurting, I end up killing
Because I cant
Find what I want
What should be so simple, even to an ant

Why cant I find it, why must I search
This long and painful life, through it I lurch

I look around, I see happiness to be had
But for me to take it?....I end up sad

And so I go on searching
searching for her
The love of my life
The woman with the cure

The cure to my rage, and anger I feel
All I want is peace and happiness

....And to spend it with her, in my life, so real...

I like this. It has good flow throughout. Maybe you could rework the third stanza a bit to make it smoother, but overall I really like the style of it. Good work.
