The tile
Its reflective shiny squares I stare at for hours bringing meaning back to chaos. Red inserted here and there marring the otherwise pristine condition. Shadows shaped into a canopy above the liquid sustenance that brings life to the masses without complaint.
Angry, dirty, revolting with broken jagged edges. Its large and dark and hides in the back away from the eyes that would make it grow. To touch it would be to sacrifice every moral fiber from that which encompasses modern America, (wash your hands, don’t talk to strangers.) Its surface stained and raised with particles of mold and mildews that in time will decay all remnants of the color it once was.
Broken shards and shapes of all sizes covered in every color and mosaic design. They are scattered on the floor in front of me. History is in every piece and I make futile attempts at creating art. I feel a spark of life with each piece and once again I am renewed at the knowledge that life comes full circle.

Just a little polish will remove that which is not a best feature but the substance will remain true. It will work on the pieces, as I'm sure you realize. It will work on this masterpiece in the rough, also. Just a few buffs with care and this will be a true shining star. I liked it very much. Thanks! |

Your writing is beautiful to me, because I think that I write similarly, picturing it literally, but meaning it metaphorically. My favorite line is "Red inserted here and there marring the otherwise pristine condition. Shadows shaped into a canopy above the liquid sustenance that brings life to the masses without complaint." |
