Lady Mystique

Contributed by scorpion on Friday, 16th April 2004 @ 06:04:14 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Red velvet eyes lurk through the smokey air,
Rising above the murky clouds appears the tender mare.
Gallant streams of gold flicker in hope,
As criss cross rays devour and elope.

The mind of madness seperates into a mindless mishap,
Calmness invades the serenity of being entrap.
Streaks of hope fall into a pot of gold,
Allowing only the spirit that has become bold.

The mare allows itself to take that first step,
A step of independence, a step that is left unkept.
Future plans and future dreams,
Is all that is left to be filled in the gold of streams.

Fly my angel and don't let go,
A mare soon to be an angel in the golden flow.
What appears to my eyes but a tender woman's face,
A woman's face filled with a soft, tender body of lace.

Nice poem, it has lots of vivid imagery in it. Hope you change 'seperates' to 'separates' before it goes to print . . . and good luck with it. Nice to hear someone here will be published!
