To all those they call crazy

Contributed by lessa on Friday, 16th April 2004 @ 04:24:07 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I remember my crazy days,
when I was in the mental hospital
straped to the bed, with thorzen in my blood
I remember when I hated the doctors for keeping me here
and I hated the nurses cause I just knew they didn't REALLY care
I remember when they took my belt and my shoes-laces, they took my jewellery and my bras, I wished them dead for that
they took my freedom, my pride, my independence and my rights
it wasn't that long ago was it, only 2 years,
but I learned to much since then,
I know so much more then I thought I did
I know the doctors and nurses where living their life, they went home at night and thought of me and really cared about my life
it's hard to think that I wish they could see me now
I know they would be proud and tell me they knew everything would be alright
I wish I could tell people going through it now
that one day u will get ur belt back and your favorite jewellery
just let them do their job and maybe try and learn something
I used to cut myself cause the pain felt so good,
now I don't cause there's more to life then that,
I enjoy every day all day, I just wish I could tell others, it will all be ok

this was so sad it touched me really deep... thnx a lot for sharing this poem.
I used to cut myself cause the pain felt so good,
I loved that line... because I've been there before and can empathize with you totally. Once again a beautiful poem.
