ECT - What's your problem?

Contributed by aboutdesouffle on Friday, 16th April 2004 @ 01:05:36 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I am strapped to the bed,
Unable to move, unwilling to stay.
Slowly the drugs cloud my thoughts
And I escape into another world
While they do unspeakable things
To my dilapidated brain.

I don’t remember anything else
My short-term memory has been
Tampered with by them.

I wake up
And they tell me I reacted well to the treatment.
Outside I nod and try to look neutral,
Inside I’m screaming and tearing at the walls
Of my mind.

I wander the corridors late at night,
Trying to remember.
Banging my head against the
Pale green walls
When I can’t.

They think I’m getting better…
I’m not,
I’m faking it.

Being angry never got anyone anywhere. Turn your anger into something positive. If you don't think the treatment is helping, demand a different kind of treatment. Every single soul on this planet dispite their problems should be treated fairly and with dignity. Call a lawyer don't try to get even, you will just be causing more problems for yourself.

One thing that was nice about getting older, they finaly stop sending u to the damn pshyc hospital, weather they give up or what. Hunny most of the time its not whats wrong with u, its whats wrong with the person that sent u. Dont hate the doctors and nurses, they get paid to not think about it, all will be better soon, trust me, i rememeber my psyc hospital days.
