The abused wife

Contributed by discantbelife on Thursday, 15th April 2004 @ 06:44:34 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Bright lights was the only thing i saw,
I knew i finally made it far.
I was about to come to the end,
When suddenly i felt my heart beat again.
"I need you to breath sweetie"
Calling me to come back to life like he need me.

Doctors screaming...
"Do you know where you are?"
I started to realize i didn't make it too far.
"Why have you been hurting yourself,
Why didn't you just ask for some help"
I realized that i came back to life,
And i was going to continue to be the abused wife.
I tried tell them this wasn't my work,
That he was the one who made me hurt,
And before i got the words out my mouth,
He came strolling about,
Pretended like i was the crazy one,
Asking me how could i do this to our son.
As soon the doctor began to leave,
I realize that i couldn't breath,
He had plugged out the cord,
That was helping me to breathe this hard,
Finally i had enough,
This abuse was getting to be too much.
I turned around and the last words i said,
I'm coming back for you anyhow i end up dead.

After the beating and the flee,
That abused wife was no longer me.

People are shocked by this fact. Do they not know how many times a day in this country alond a woman or child is abused. Many, many to the point of death. The children can't leave, but the women can and they could take their children to safety if not themselves, why don't they???? You are right, nobody deserves this.
