The memory of your presence fading,
from my sight.
Holding to the memory of your touch,
with all my might.
Could you send me a message,
through time and through space?
Could you send me a picture,
of your smiling face?
How can I make it through the night,
here without you?

And I'm longing for more than a memory
of your fingertips upon my skin.
And I'm longing for more than a dream
of you warming me within.
And I don't have the words
to tell you I miss you.
And now I have no way
of getting anywhere near you.

I dream of what you're doing,
and I think of how you'd sound next to me.
I count the days until you return,
until you will be the only one I see.
I dream of your fingertips
dancing upon my skin.
