I am building the courage
to face my end.
Though the end is at what pace?
It is unknown.
My life, my being..
t'is a disgrace for all,
all cringe from me..
I am but a cursed soul.
And though I meditate,
to bolden myself for my fate,
Will I ever face it?
I do not know.
Some think to take one's life
is a cowardly act, but I don't.
I deem it the bravest thing to do.
And it is my longing..my dream.
The act of a gallant soul is to face hell and damnation willingly forever.
But to live on due to fear of suicide...
is cowardice in its true sense.
And I am a coward for I live on.
But someday I will be brave enough.
To do so is only a matter of time.
The question is : when?.

I think the bravest thing to do is to live. Your not taking your own life was probably the bravest thing you could have done, not the most cowardly. Something inside of you rebelled against it, and that's normal. That's what is supposed to happen. I hope that you are doing much better now. Just remember that I have to ears to lend if you need them! Oh yeah, by the way, this was a great write and phrased perfectly. You can see the anger, hurt, and frustration in it, and it paints a beautiful picture... I'm glad you aren't in that place anymore, otherwise how could we read this wonderful poetry that you write???

Thankyou very much for your kind words...I thank God that I'm not in that state of mind any more but sometimes i do feel a bit depressed...though now i guess im a bit wiser :)) Thanx for being your self you're a very sweet person. |
