Window of My Dream

Contributed by maryetta on Thursday, 15th April 2004 @ 05:38:15 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

my heart yearns for freedom
at my window gazing at distant island
yearning for the freedom of a seagull
begging for release from my bondage

i cry as porpoises leap with thier joy
i suffer as seagulls dip and sail the breeze
i sigh as waves lap the beaches with serenity
i bow my head as a ship slowly sails by

if only i could fly away as seagulls do
if only i could swim away as the dolphin does
if only i could be a mermaid and swim away
if only i were a passenger onboard the ship

but i sadly face my own reality of life
i am doomed till her death to stay trapped
my bondage of love and watch her with anguish
she slowly dies as i always hide my tears
