Lover’s War

My eyes close, light fills my mind
As you enter these premonitions
Foreseeing of what’s yet to be an everlasting bliss
To what I hold upon my world for you
Wondering if this is true.
Walking in the mist covered plains,
I hear your distant voice calling to me for comfort
Only to find you right beside me
Like a fairy tale, with a happy ending
To be found only in stories not so true
Hope follows after my dimmed whispers
Of the air and your name to fill this darkness
To know of what I hear the angels fallen
Crying, beckoning me to follow
I walk close to discover of my own kind
And you the outcast that I truly love
Dark and light can’t co-exist in harmony
Dark and light can only war
To me this can only depress me
Until you come into my life, and I am yours.
