Pensive Anxiety

Contributed by jaeann on Thursday, 15th April 2004 @ 01:49:41 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

wind blown grass
dried up creek
a rock with sass
feeling kinda weak
corn stalk garden
smell of gasoline
summers' pardon
is yesterday's scene
faded willow mountain
yellow flowered field
where ever i've been
but dropped the shield
gravel miled walk
broken down garage
missing man chalk
left quite a barrage
empty rose trellis
slamming trailer door
silence is always jealous
left wanting more
maybe a promise
just a dream
grasping for bliss
fate be redeemed
sunshine and faith
trust and belief
feeling safe
wanting reprieve
cherishing honor
generation's last son
needing a father
a past to shun
pace a walk
plan a scheme
tears do balk
dreams do careen
fresh air breath
water well clear
tomorrow's caress
yesterday's fears
rising above
a daunting cloud
a lasting love
a scream aloud
claim the land
stand my ground
built something grand
days were found
clutch the moment
run the course
soul's been lent
too much forced
incoherent lies
intolerable truths
pain is shy
moot is youth
ranting freedom's ring
tearing at the soul
what to bring
when is whole
fall to grace
a step behind
one's own pace
all to find
pick a daisy
swat a bumblebee
need to be lazy
don't wanna see
years pent up
voice is closed
sanity's corrupt
no one chose
long and dark
no end in sight
no one harks
lost the fight
forgive the sage
love the faerie
turn the page
all must carry
roses' empty terrace
yesterday's lumber mill
on borrowed merits
time to kill
floating on high
living on low
left is the sigh
reaped the sown
rainy forest girl
hides within herself
lost in her world
high upon a shelf
