A perfect memory

Contributed by setting_in_the_sun on Wednesday, 14th April 2004 @ 10:18:07 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Eyes full of tears, heart full of pain,
my body is aching, my mind strained,
my feet feel so heavy, my smile just fades,
you've caused me to become totally insane.

Time passes by, only memories stay,
you've been on my mind, through everyday.
demons carry away my spirit on your OK,
you've shattered all my hope,
And I'm left in dismay.

The first time you left, is the first time I cried,
I got so used to having,
you as the one by my side,
when I tried to move on,
you came back everytime,
and really...they say
that the heart cannot lie.

It lied everytime, and it left me right here,
drowning myself, and laying in my own tears,
it got so intense that I...just became feared,
and I sit, and I wallow,
but I know your still near.

So I watch for you sharply, "Come out today,"
Come on, baby...all I wanna' do is play...
I can rip out your heart,
for the whole town to see,
The stained blood on your face, tears...

the perfect memory.

This poem, is about 'insanity' I am really fed up with a relationship, that has recently ended, but really...I just do not know what any of my feelings are...

The perfect memory...droven to become so insane by a love gone wrong...wanting, striving to just kill the person, and feeling no regret nothing but relief, causing the smile, on a face that frowned for so long.
