Suffer In Silence

Contributed by parkman on Wednesday, 14th April 2004 @ 04:59:44 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Lying in my bed, tears streaming down my eyes
Who can I tell, they'll think it's a pack of lies
Jumped in the alley, by a man I never knew
Not beaten up, but buggered black and blue

The pain I felt, the shame I feel
Humiliation, degraded so unreal
My body hurts,I'm aching all over
Stomach wretching, as I lie under my cover

Why did this happen, why me, did he pick
I ask myself, as I start to be sick
Was he watching me, or just a chancer
Not got a clue, I can't find an answer

This must be rape, even though I'm a man
If I knew what was coming, I'd have just ran
Now I must suffer, in silence and alone
Can't answer the door, not even the phone

Maybe all that's left, is to take my own life
With a bottle of pills, or a very sharp knife
A gun in my mouth, to blow off my head
I have no life, already I'm dead

This is terribly sad but remember, YOU did nothing wrong....and you have nothing to be ashamed of....
Well written..full of emotions...

If this is true in your life I can only say that the shame is the attacker. I've lived a life of shame and blame upon myself only to now realize it never was me at all. If only a poem written it is truly sad and I know it does happen. Anyway, I've read and can only say....
well.... come to think of it, I really don't know what to say, except don't suffer in silence... there are friends out there. June
