Behind closed Doors
Through the curtain she saw him
coming home from work, chatting
to his neighbours smiling brightly,
a popular man, at the office too.
In the hall he took off his hat, coat
and smile hung them on a hook,
grunted unintelligible sat on his
armchair, reading the newspaper
waiting for his supper.
