Rustling through the garden
Playing in the cabbage
Two children soon become victims
To a dark ones savage
He comes now burning all the crops
And even their cottage
His eyes are scorched hot
To seek his destructive revenge
And now lay two children, dead
As slowly as the fire dies
The smoke begins to disappear
The parents come back
With heart pumping fear
They race home and wait for the smoke to clear
Like ripples slip away in the water
But what sadly appears
Is the death of the son and daughter
The mother lays their near her son
Wishing she had been the one
She whispers “I’ll see you again.”
And gets up to kiss his forehead
The father he didn’t really move
And by the looks of it
He was never planning to
Too many thoughts were twisting in his head
With a pale look on his face
Now his two children where dead
And forever he stares out into empty space
