BIG SHOES

Contributed by badlander on Wednesday, 14th April 2004 @ 12:19:34 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

My lady keeps a fond memory
A good man that kept her satisfied
He was called to the throne
And , somehow, she found me
I hope I measure up in time

(Chorus)
Big shoes to fill
When it comes 'round that way
I step up and do my best each day
I hope she believes
The truth in my eyes
I love her more than any man alive

I like to hear her talk about the past
My lady never holds it over me
I wish I'd known the man
Met before he passed
I like to think he likes what he sees

(Bridge)
I never met a soul
That didn't like the man
I'm sure that he knows
He left her in good hands...,

CHORUS

I hope she believes
The truth in my eyes
I love her more than any man alive

I have a strange feeling that if anyone can fill those shoes you can. She will never stop loving him, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love you just as much for who you are. I bet he sends blessings down each day for taking care of his ladylove. I know two men that have successfully done this and loving raised the mans children. It can work.

Rainbows,
Rita

I think that most ladies have a very high opinion of their first husband especially if it was a true love.On the other hand why should some-one end up lonely through no fault of their own. Most second or even third marriage can be very happy and satisfying. I say give it a try or you will never know what you might be missing.
Greetings from bernard.
